Monday night status report

Knee-tweak of Sunday morning seems not to have been too serious. I did my two miles today slightly off-pace and being careful not to overstride and it feels OK, so I appear to have gotten off easy.

Shot some pics of the lanterns Friday. This is the best of the bunch and it's still a bit fuzzy because the shutter is so slow and I couldn't seem to manage to hold quite still enough. (The odd day-glow yellow dot at the left of the lantern is, in fact, an LED candle sitting on the table under the awning.) Clearly I need practice. Still, even with the soft-core blur, my kaga chochin are dead sexy. Which is more than I can say for anything else in my life right now.
(Didn't take any other photos at Coronet. I just got wound up in other things. Besides, there's nothing wrong with not spending an event staring through a viewfinder and shooting crap photos.)
Fiddled around with trying to transfer the write-up I did to my web page but I'm just not in the mood to finish it tonight. I don't like how it reads. I don't like how it looks. The Known World will have to wait a bit longer for plausibly-period-lantern-design instructions, that's all.
