Eternal secrets too soft
For a straining ear.
Someone once walked beside her
Murmuring other secrets.
It wasn't Gregory Peck though. Or Anthony Perkins, for that matter. (Caught "On The Beach" on cable just now, which I had not seen. A thoughtful, tragic slice of the Cold War made in 1959. Peck and Ava Gardner are marvelous.)
It wasn't even Rich. Miss you, Old Bear.
