What would Miss Manners do?

Dear Miss Manners,

Perhaps I am old fashioned. Is it wrong that I get completely creeped out by total strangers who have no qualms about posting comments in my journal when they have never bothered to introduce themselves? I believe I made myself quite clear in my profile regarding my "friends" policy. http://gurdymonkey.livejournal.com/profile  And yet it keeps happening.

Is it that hard to mouse over my userpic and use the "Send Message:" feature to introduce oneself in a civilized fashion? Or do people really prefer to behave like stalkers?

I'd so hate to have to lock-down this journal.
