Lying travel websites.
May. 14th, 2007 06:44 pmYou know, the one that shows you a flight in your price range and date range and you click on it only to be redirected to a flight that costs double what was quoted. After this happened four different times on four different websites, I sucked it up and bought a ticket with United. More than I'd hoped to pay, but not as hideous as it could be. Unfortunately, it's out of SFO instead of Oakland, which means having to get to SFO before God gets up in the morning.
Anyway, I am pre-regged for Pennsic. It means living in the same encampment with That Person, but it also means getting together with friends I haven't seen in five years.
Edit. I just discovered it also means entrusting those belongings going out on the truck to That Person's care as he has volunteered to be the collection point. I'd better christen my tent and bedding with sake to make sure it arrives in port safely, but George is flying with ME!

Not to mention the logistical complications of ferrying belongings from West Kingdom Royal to other encampments and back....
Well, there is that :-) I didn't know whether the crew of the Big WK Pennsic Truck were kindly disposed to hauling gear for people camping outside of WK Royal, but the simple pragmatic issues hadn't occured to me....
