Dad is getting deaf. REALLY deaf. We came home from a lovely dinner at Horatio's (who doesn't love a seafood joint with gunports, particularly when it's paid for with the gift card I got from my boss at Christmas!) and found "Dan In Real Life" on cable. He kept asking me to turn it up. And up. And up. And was watching CSPAN at "25" well after I went to bed.
Taiko kicked my ass Tuesday night. We abandoned the piece we were working on and started a new one. Or at least one brand new to me.
I don''t mind so much that you say I'm wrong in front of 900 or so people, I mind that you didn't sign your post.
Anybody have room in their heart and home for an elderly cocker spaniel found earlier this week wandering around Middlefield Road in Palo Alto?
Still employed. Today's exercise in updating job descriptions prove that while N and I can and do cover for each other when one is out, we have enough individual duties that we are not redundant.
In compensation for wasting time on That Zombie Book I'm now about halfway through Tales of Times Now Past. It's a collection of medieval Japanese stories, some familiar to me, some new.
I've given my wrist a couple of weeks, it's time to get back to work on the linen kosode this weekend. And maybe take pictures while I work on the collar. And maybe add them to my web page.
Thanks to
allison_is for asking for feedback from the local group on what I might teach at Silver Desert Championship and Collegium.and passing on the enthusiastic responses.
