Never much liked this particular piece of music, not wild about the last product I used from this manufacturer, but this is a terrific ad.

I've played that piece, I find it a joy.
Pantene = meh.
Commercial = AWESOME.

(Not sure if a deaf person can actually play violin as opposed to piano though - how do you know when you're even subtly off key on an unkeyed instrument? - You need auditory feedback to adjust.

Obviously you didn't have to play cello. ;-D

Hahahahaha - The members of "Technical Difficulties" did a filk to the tune of Pachelbel's Canon. One of the tenor's lines: "This is bo-ring, it must be my part, it took me two seconds to learn it by heart"

I think Pachelbel's Canon in D is a beautiful piece, but it unfortunately gets overplayed to the point of cliché.

That may be the best commercial I've ever seen.

Dammit. Not supposed to cry at commercials.

That was incredible.

It even made Pachelbel's Canon tolerable again.

Yeah, I'm pathetic. Sigh.

Not alone! I shed a tear as well.

It was quite beautiful. Just my kind of sappy commercial type thing.

No, you didn't cry - it was dusty in the room.

That's what we do here in Texas. Men don't cry. We suffer from purely coincidental "dust in the eye".

It's really dusty in here.

;D

I have to offer a take on Pachelbel that is near and dear to my heart (and it also takes the edge off the misty eyes):
