1. My sister emailed me a couple of pictures of the boys today. In one Nicky and Brian were standing in the driveway together and Nick was making "bunny ears" behind Brian's head.  In the second photo, my Dad (aka PopPop) and Brian are standing in the back yard. Next to Brian's feet is a small brown shape. When I used the little magnifiying glass to zoom in, I was able to determine that it was a brown cardboard head stone with white printing on it: "In Memoriam, Joe. The best dancer ever." (I also observed that the foliage is green, both Dad and Brian are dressed for mild East Coast weather, and neither of them looks particularly grief stricken.)

I wrote back, "Who is Joe?" Goldfish? Turtle? Hamster? They have a dog, I was unaware of any other pets.

Miriam responded:  "Joe is  --- The greatest dancer that ever lived --  Brian just wanted a cemetery in the back yard in the spring.  I know -- strange child."

2. What does it say that they delivered a brand new copier today and the technician who set it up managed to break the internal stapler while he was demonstrating everything for us?

3. I found an online recipe for dorayaki. Wonder how they'd be with a splash of apple or pumpkin butter inside instead of bean paste?

I think either punpkin or apple butter would be good inside dorayaki. If your objection to bean paste is the overpowering SWEET, there's a good online recipe at either JustBento dot com or the sister site JustHungry dot com that has about half as much sugar as is typical and is really very good.
