Just took a bad step on the stairs and did something to my knee. While it feels better than it did five minutes ago, it still hurts.

EDIT: almost six hours later and I'm still limping. I had been thinking about tooling up to Concord and putting in an appearance at Pink Drink Central. Instead, I shall pick up some takeout on the way home tonight and spend as much time as possible with my foot elevated.

There is a standard set of cure-all knee exercises you can do to relieve stiffness and pain after an injury. Here's a description. http://www.ehealthmd.com/library/arthroscopyknee/ARK_therapy.html Skip to the "straight leg raises" part, and remember to contract your quad before starting the lift. I've done a lot of knee PT in my day, and it always starts with these.
