So far so good. Really. I've had headaches worse than this.

I took two Advil when I got home from the dentist  before all the novocaine had worn off and another two before bed because I started to feel a bit throbby when I lay down. Interestingly, I was getting more discomfort from a nerve ending in my lower jaw than at the extraction site. Woke up around three AM but I put that down to the rain battering the skylight as much as anything else.

Yeah, it's a little puffy and sore, but nowhere near what I was expecting. This is a good thing because the very co-worker who was predicting I would be in so much pain I wouldn't be able to come to work has a bad chest cold and went home sick about an hour after I showed up.

Heheheh - the co-worker played YOU!

They knew that if they taunted you with pain, you'd muscle through it - thereby being at work today, so THEY could go home :)

I'm glad it isn't too bad for you, though - (non-prescription) pain-killers good :)

No, she didn't. She evidently had one of those horrible surgical extractions where they do all four and you look like you've been in a bar fight for the next two weeks.

Doh! Well, after experiencing that, I can understand her warnings, then. I had one wisdom tooth extracted, but it wasn't bad - I've had good luck with the Dental Fairies (knock on wood). Sounds like yours was like mine, rather than hers.

Sounds like your experience was like mine. I had two out a couple of years ago under local anasthetic and then walked the 3 blocks home. It wasn't fun, but it wasn't awful, either.

Not having a sucktastic experience is okay. I'm glad it wasn't too bad for you and hope you heal quickly.
