OK, this makes up for the paint-fu. I just won one 1200 cm bolt of 39 cm wide kimono fabric for $14 plus $17 shipping from Japan. The seller (one I've dealt with in the past, highly reliable) described it as "synthetic", which could mean jinken, a very high quality rayon. I'll have a better idea once I can touch it. But phoenixes and clouds are so auspicious. I wish it was a little wider, but it was too good to pass up.
