I watched that movie for the first time in 2009. I think I first heard about the name from the movie "Ghost Dog", which I enjoyed for a variety of reasons, not least of which the semi-religious way people can adopt another country's customs and ideology, filtered through their own country's concepts of same, particularly when they have live very far away from it. Reminds me of the Japanese re-enactors' love of European culture. What ideas they have! Still can't get many of them to do more than lip service to the idea of being courteous to ladies, because it's generally absent here in modern day Japan. By which I mean, the courtesy of opening doors, helping ladies to chairs, carrying their burdens...
