Well that was a waste of seven hours

gurdymonkeyI just drove all the way up to somewhere outside Marysville, went up and down several corduroy gravel roads in search of the rendezvous and found nothing but a gun range where they were re-enacting 21st century NRA members and hundreds of head of cattle. I stopped and tried gates up and down that freaking road, I saw a convoy of horse trailers go by and hopefully followed it to a dead end where a bunch of people were gathered to go for a trail ride. So I drove ALLL THE WAY back.
I'm having a nap. And maybe lunch.
EDIT: Nap helped. Slightly. I will work on Brian's jacket for awhile tomorrow, and then probably go down to Palo Alto for a double feature of "The Hidden Fortress" and "Yojimbo." in the afternoon.
I had some soup for dinner, then remembered I needed to do something with that stew meat. Meat, carrots, onions, mushrooms, a little flour, a bottle of Guinness and two more of some Downtown Brown I found in the back of the fridge slowly cooked for two hours. Smells amazing and tasted really rich and hearty. As soon as it cools, it's going in the fridge and I can work my way through it this week.
