gurdymonkeyGnarled vines are laden
With purple and white cascades
Of bursting flowers.
So briefly the fuji* blooms
Before falling to tatters.
(The little Craftsman bungalow across the street has practically vanished beneath a curtain of pale purple in just a couple of days.)
