Shooting rodeo photos with a point-n-shoot is a challenge: even in "sports" mode, the Fuji F100fd isn't fast enough to deal with livestock hurtling past at 30 mph, and I don't have a lot of zoom capability. That said, I've been playing "crop or drop" to maximize what I did shoot.

Jeez, I LOVE what happened when I cropped this:  to this:

Wow, it's late. I'll play with these more tomorrow.....

The three cowgirls above have been sent to [livejournal.com profile] lj_photophile .

Started my day with a trip to Bruce's Tire for the oil change I needed, only to be told that (a) my tires were at The Wear Mark and (b) all Tony had in Blanche's size were the 80K Hancooks. There's $500 bucks back on the old Visa Card that I've been trying to whittle the balance back down on.

La Honda and the drive there were very pretty. Hung out a bit with [livejournal.com profile] kproche , [livejournal.com profile] bovil  and friends, though truthfully, [livejournal.com profile] bovil spent most of the day peering through a digital SLR with a long lens from the rail. When folks began peeling off in ones and twos back to Jo's RV, I headed for home.
