Rain obscures the hills,
Whispers upon the rooftops
And fogs each window.
This calls for a pot of tea
And "Tales of Moonlight And Rain."

...

Especially since I told a ghost story at the All Hallow's Feast....AND SCREWED IT UP. Her name is Okiku, not Okuni. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did deliberately move her drowning to the river instead of the well because I simply can't see them not finding her right away and not doing the proper rites to bury her and cleanse the well, ergo, no haunting and no story. Sure, the audience doesn't know, but I KNOW!!!!

Nice little local event, got to sit at high table and giggle over nonsense with the Baroness a lot. Attendance may have been down due to some baseball game and the rain, but it was still a pleasant evening.  Didn't eat much because I'd had a bout of funny tummy Friday night, but the pumpkin soup was a standout. I came home with about half the damn onigiri though. Maybe I'll take it into work Monday and put it in the break room in the sheet metal shop.

I could have done without my change of clothes getting soaking wet because someone's little dewdrop backed up the toilets in the ladies' room and I had to hike up three layers and shove sleeves under a rain jacket for an uncomfortable drive home. (Though if you're going to interrogate the children about who did it, don't haul them out into the middle of the feast hall in front of the entire assembly and ask who did it because they're not going to cop to it.)

The cuteness. It BURNS us. http://karisu-sama.livejournal.com/493918.html

If it helps in the future, "kiku" 菊 means Chrysanthemum, which are often used on graves in Japan, similar to how white lilies are sometimes used as a death symbol in our culture. So Okiku would be a very appropriate name for a ghost story!

Nope, just your garden variety brain fart in action.

It was still a good scary story.

I agree about the hauling out of the kids in front of everyone. The person who did it was taken aside. Worse, there were other children using that restroom that had nothing to do with our group.
