Who needs $6k tickets to AT&T Park when you can follow the game just by reading friends' Facebook entries?

I ended up not going to the Japanese Ghost Story thing at the Asian Art Museum for several reasons:
1. It occurred to me that while BART might be adding trains to cope with World Series crowds, there's not a damn thing they can do to multiply parking spaces at their stations.
2. I got word that a friend's father is in the hospital and offered to hang by the computer tonight for a Skype session if he was so inclined (it appears not at this hour).
3. I'd been headachy on and off all day and learned from the last evening program at the Asian I went to that amplified music and that marble lined atrium would only make it worse. Having checked out the preview video at the website, I thought, OK, seriously? Color me a snooty purist, but that's not Japanese Ghost Story music to me. This is. (Sorry, I like my unmitigated noise with some musicality to it.)  I do want to see the new exhibition of folding screens, but maybe I'll do that next weekend.

I am packed for the flight to Phoenix. Found a coupon for a parking discount near the airport which will run me less than cab fare back and forth, so I'll head straight there after work and go see some of my Rising Sun peeps and watch two of them get married.

Entered this year's Japan National Tourist Organization contest on basic general principle. Won't win, but I can dream....

Well, if the previous winners are anything to go by, you need to have some bullshit uplifted humanitarian purpose!
Damned if I know what you can say! That you need to see a friend and help her research Kamakura? Taste your way as food tourist across Japan and blog it?

For SFO, we have been doing the off site long term parking lately. There are many choices and they usually cost $11-$12 a day. Cheaper than official long term parking at the airport and we don't have to worry about cab being late etc.
