I posted the following to my kingdom e-list.

"Going to Fettburg? Can't make this weekend's sewing workshops? Haven't got a thing to wear?

I would be happy to teach you how to make a kosode and obi. I will be daytripping A&S both days. Please contact me in advance off list at wodeford AT yahoo DOT com if you wish to get together for an hour or so at A&S.

We can discuss what time of day to do this (I am entirely at the convenience of YOUR class taking schedule) and I can give you a better estimate of how much fabric to bring once we have discussed your general clothing size. You will also need needle, thread, scissors and straight pins.

Very good move. If I was sewing these days I'd take you up on it, Just Because.

On a related subject: I've found it remarkably heartening to go teach a class in Another Kingdom somewhere. All you have to do is show up and presto! You are the Visiting Expert and 20 people sign up for your class! I've had enough classes where 1, 3, or no people at all show up that I kno0w I detest them.

Amen, my sister. I always get cleaned out of handouts for my singalong classes at Estrella. The Japanese ones I maybe get three or four people, but they're three or four ENTHUSIASTIC people.

I'm not going to be teaching at Pennsic, but I will get to hang out with people who do know my work and I know theirs and we are going to drink sake August moon and have a very fine time indeed.

Hmm, wonder if they're looking for teachers at GWW....
