Nothing like taking the road along the beach home from the supermarket at sunset. More of the set can be found here.

Does anyone back east have any doubts why I continue to live here? No? Didn't think so. It even makes up for what they attempt to pass off as bagels out here.

The only really weird thing to me was the disorientation from having the ocean on the wrong side. "What do you mean there's nothing west of here?!"

Hee!

Hey, wait a minute. Hawai'i is considered the Far East now?

There's a good bagel place in Palo Alto. Izzy's. They're on California Street and they're like real, back east bagels.

Well, maybe not entirely luck. I did march up and down the beach, trying to find the prettiest reflections of the sunset and figure out angles. So yeah, it's not entirely random. However, I cannot be held responsible for what the sky decides to throw my way.

I frequently have to resist the urge to come to a screeching stop in inconvenient or dangerous places because I see something that would make a great photo, though. I saw people rowing on the estuary as I was coming over the Park Street Bridge today and knew that by the time I got over the bridge, parked the car and ran back onto the bridge with my camera the moment would be lost.
