....which is why I haven't been posting much. LJ Support's last message was along the lines of "We haven't forgotten you, but it's more complicated than we thought."

Spent yesterday with the Free Artillerie Company up at the Fair Oaks Tudor Fayre. Hurdy gurdy was being temperamental - more so than usual, despite relatively comfortable weather for Fair Oaks in late June. Additionally, it's a fairly small venue with LOTS of stages, so walkabout involved having to stop playing and move further on frequently as I don't think it's polite to try to play in someone else's sound shadow. I was also the lone camp follower this time. At least the guys were happy to eat the fruit and loaf of gingerbread with currants that I brought along.
I opted to just day-trip Saturday instead of doing both days anyway. Overnighting alone is no fun. At least at the Scottish Games I know some of the other folks on Re-Enactor Row.

(Unfortunately trying to load individual images to my journal takes too long.)

I got up this morning needing NOT to chain myself to the washing machine as it was beautiful out. I drove over to Treasure Island to check out their flea market. Photos of that outing can be seen here, including several shots of a highly photogenic huge steel sculpture of a nude dancer (your call as to whether she's worksafe, I don't see anything wrong with her!) called "Bliss," by Marco Cochrane. (I did some shots of it in color, but the black & white were just stronger images so I didn't upload them.)  http://www.flickr.com/photos/70104978@N00/sets/72157627055042638/with/5874487869/

I did come home with a black and white polyester print shirt dress of late 60's/early 70's vintage for $15 that I could wear by itself or open over a top and jeans or leggings as a long jacket.

Spent most of the afternoon watching the first DVD of the BBC "Bleak House." It's as well done as I remembered.

You know, I'm sorry I touched a nerve with the comments about unrequited love.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." - Inigo Montoya. ;-D

You were trying to describe walking the walk, you just picked an inadequate descriptor for the point you were trying to make.

It came on top of a FB post from someone I made a fool of myself over sometime back and it would not have been the place to comment, "Dude, you HAD your chance."

I want you to know that you can come to me directly to discuss these things. We're going to agree to disagree on the descriptor.
