Time to fish or cut bait

1. Given the fact that nobody at my place of business tells me anything and I have no idea whether they're going to hire internally for Nancy's replacement or not, it is highly possible that I may not be able to get off the Friday of Great Western War. I've been dithering but today's the deadline for class submissions. Fine: they get one - taiko. I can teach it without a lot of prep, and it usually gets a decent turnout.

2. I threw some cheap Kodak matte photo paper in my printer, tweaked the contrast on the "still life with bicycle" shot and it printed out beautifully.  So then I printed my El Capitan shot from this spring. Oh darn. NOW I have to mount, frame and find a spot to hang 'em....
 

3. CostPlus World Market sent me an email about their new "Eastern Indigo" collection a few weeks ago. I went, I looked, I was underwhelmed by the textiles and thought, I can do better. So I went to StoneMountain and bought a yard of this cotton print and made new kitchen curtains with it.

I'm not impressed that Eastern Indigo collection either. The pattern you decided to get instead for your curtains is very nice!

Ah, the curse of knowing what real Japanese stuff is supposed to look like!

Put the finishing stitches in and hung them this afternoon. Looks great, particularly as I have a couple pretty sake empties on the sill.

Lovely photos! I especially like the bicycle, but both are excellent! :D
