No, not THAT kind of quickie.

I did have to dim the monitor just to write this.

Eye exam has been achieved and right now I look like a freaking mutant because I'm still dilated.

Dr. T ran late because of other patients, so I had an adverse reaction when she anesthetized my eyes because lunch was six hours old by the time she saw me. Not unlike the shock reaction I get when I donate blood. Put my head on my lap for a couple of minutes, did some deep breathing, had some water, was good to go.  The good news, my resting BP is a respectable 130/80, my eyes are othewise healthy but do require some mild correction for reading. Frames have been chosen (sort of a bronzy wire rim around rectangular lenses) and I should have my glasses in a week to ten days.

You know, my eye doc has a machine that takes the place of dialation. Not only do you get to skip all the heinous after effect, it gives the doctor a significantly wider range of vision in the back of your eye. It's called Optomap. Even if insurance doesn't cover it, it's only around $30- well worth it in my books.

Too late now. Besides, Dr. T assured me I could get home the mile from her place dilated as long as I wore sunglasses, and I did. It was just a bit weird for a couple of hours....
