I should've known. The wedding industry has already jumped on "wishing trees." One can even buy the things online. (A cursory glance at Teh Intarwebz says it's been fashionable since at least 2007, along with the cupcake thing.)

I don't know if you knew I lived in Japan, but the trees with prayers/wishes/etc. were always magical.

It's almost like a challenge for a bride to come up with a different form of the guestbook. Inspiration comes from anywhere. Your branches will hold their own meaning and have their own look.
