Mom's birthday bash

Elaine's friend Mary Ellen took a bunch of photos last week, then gave my sister the memory card. Knowing that neither of my sisters are savvy enough to deal with judicious photo editing, I borrowed the card to transfer to my laptop before flying home. This morning, I whacked 246 photos down to 140. Of the 140, some cropping and contrast/brightness adjustment was done. I would have been even more ruthless, but documenting a family gathering where everyone wants to see lots of pictures is a little different than tossing out the "wow" moments. I even managed to mostly make unflattering pusses go away in the process and tried to omit the ones in which Aunt Pat looks completely lost. (She is completely lost - I had to remind her who I was every time she saw me. She at least recognizes her siblings and kids.)

Congratulations to your mom on her 80th!!

Looks like much fun was had, including music and dancing! (I am guessing Aunt Pat is the very elderly woman in the grey sweater.)
