Renown is a very funny thing

I don't know if something was in the water supply or what today, but I kept running into Stupidity on several of the lists I'm on. In one case a poster was being a complete butthead, in others, it was the classic I-wanna-do-something-completely-implausible-and-reverse-document-it-because-
I-think-it-would-be-cool! Either way, I found myself itching to grab scruffs and spank people with a katana hard enough to make them quit the Stupidity Yakuza and run home crying to Okaa-san. Only I'd look like a dork in a screaming yellow track suit....

Instead I turned away from the Stupidity. I forced myself not to post snarky things, at least until a couple of people made some more reasonable answers, then made my own comments with as much restraint as I possibly could.

I got called "politer than...I could manage."

"Wise."

"Inspiring."

If they only knew......
