Work sucked. Work was f*****ng abominable today because in addition to all the normal hell that breaks loose on Mondays, we were trying to start payroll a day early because of the Thanksgiving holiday. (I am dreading the Christmas and New Year pay runs....)
On the other hand, the white and gold silk from Japan arrived today. 16 1/2 inches wide, almost 8 yards of it. That's enough to make something with, I should think.
The scary Hello Kitty fabric has been likewise acquired for
jupiterorbit, as requested. Or should that be for her cat?
Cranberry relish has been made and relegated to a mason jar. I hope it survives in my checked luggage because some TSA yahoo will probably make me throw it away if I try to carry it on.
Just checked the weather report for Portland. Sweaters it is.

Portland for T-Day
Date: 2007-11-20 03:10 am (UTC)It's for the cat. Honest. I never would contemplate HK brocade on myself unless really drunk and wanting to frighten someone who deserved it.
What sorts of beverages should we lay in for you? We're *way* out in the country. There is a 24-hour Wal*Mart quite some way away, but no 7-11 for late night Diet Caffeine Free Splenda RC with Lime runs.
Niska the Persian is practicing posing. He's good at it.
Fair warning: Thursday, I watch the National Dog Show. For some people, it's football. For me, it's the start of the dog show season. So pretend to care that somebody beats out one of the poodles as "yet *again* with the poodle best in show". I usually root for malemutes, huskies (especially if they're blue or odd-eyed) and beagles.
Re: Portland for T-Day
Date: 2007-11-20 05:07 am (UTC)Dog show trumps football any day. I tend to prefer a lot of the working breeds, myself.
See you tomorrow evening.
